What I Wore Wednesday

It's been a while.
 March truly was Madness.
It came in like a lion & exited that way...
WHAT???

So, let's be frivolous today...

This was the day that I vowed NO MORE WINTER CLOTHES.
Though, I am loving my swing sweater from the thrift store with my leggings & booties.

This was the day I vowed NO MORE WINTER BOOTS.
Paired with a hand-me-down dress from my mama's neighbor & one of my many, many jean jackets.  Love me...Love my jean jackets.

We have become converts of the Daniel Plan by Rick Warren & a slew of popular doctors.  I always hesitate to call it a diet because it truly is a LIFESTYLE change.  Due to this lifestyle change, I once again fit most of the clothes in my closet.  The red skirt being case in point. The skirt is from a high end consignment shop that I love.  I paired it with a classic black sweater that is a staple of my wardrobe & a pair of peep toe pumps. We had a big volunteer appreciation event that evening...so, I broke out my pearls too.

Maxi skirt & heels from Charlotte Russe.  Sweater & denim shirt are thrift finds.  And, my necklace is from Everyday Icing.  Find them on Facebook.  Proceeds from their sales support Compassion International.  Nothing better than to shop with a purpose!

First KC Wine Opener committee meeting for 2014, called for some business professional garb.  Skirt is from the thrift store as are the Gianni Bini pumps which make my heart go pitty pat.  And, the black sweater...told you it was a wardrobe staple.  Also, my April bracelet from The Gunny.  Still the best anniversary present ever...I get a bracelet a month!

Keepin it real here, peeps!
I work from home on Thursdays.
Here I am in all my denim & legging glory.

Skinny jeans & a shirt from the thrift store.  And, my blue suede shoes!

Meeting with the CEO of BCBS KC calls for a dress & some heels.  This is an old find from TJ Maxx.  Had to add a bit of sass with the red sparkly bracelet.

Again, the jeans & shoes with a little leopard & a black sweater poncho.

Classic white shirt, Talbots jeans, and a sweater...all thrift finds.  I jazzed it up a bit with my funky necklaces.  And, one of my new watches from the Plaid Barn for $3.99!

Chubb Insurance Kick Off downtown called for some linen pants & one colorful tunic.

I spend a LOT of time in the gym these days.  It calls for pigtails.  And, lots of workout gear.  All from the thrift store.  The best purchase I have made in 2014 is on my feet!  I had NOOOO idea how much a good pair of shoes could help your workout.  Oh my!  Wish I had done it months ago.

It's still fighting to be Spring, but I refuse to act like it.  Cropped pants from Marshalls, thrift Ralph Lauren peasant blouse, jean jacket & again the necklace.

Sunday called for a fave thrift dress & leggings.  Still a bit chilly for no sleeves so I threw on a jean jacket & another great necklace from Everyday Icing.

And, last but not least...my new-to-me Ann Taylor dress from the thrift store.  A steal for $10!  I love it!  Threw on a black denim jacket to fight the chill that morning.

So, there you have it, friends....What I Wore Wednesday.
I know you've been anxiously awaiting the return. (giggles)

  1. OK, you need to have a thrifting workshop - or come and help me organize my closet so I can put my clothes into cute outfits like you. I'm totally serious.

    1. Julie....I'll have to plan a thrifting expedition one Saturday & take a group of gals out & show them how it's done. :) I love digging through the racks, however some people don't have the patience...and, I think that is really what it takes. For every shirt I get....I go through about 50.
