The Clipboard Wall

I know, I know....it's not Thrift Shop Thursday.  But, I wanted to share my clipboard wall.  Many of you have seen it on IG.  But, I truly LOVE this idea!

I was given a box of old clipboards ages ago.  They sat in the basement & sat & sat & sat.

Finally, the day came that I drug them out in the yard on a tarp & spray painted they metal hardware gold.  I gave the clipboards two coats of paint to completely cover the metal.

Once the hardware was dry, I took them inside & painted the boards a high gloss black.

I then took my favorite quotes or verses that I really wanted to meditate on & printed them out on 8.5x11 cardstock using different font to mix it up a bit.

I hung them in two lines.  And, they are perfect.

I apologize for the terrible pictures & lighting.  This is the family room in our lower level.  It isn't complete (as in decorating) yet & despite the two windows the lighting is never good.  And, of course, my boys arms are broken so the gaming system couldn't be properly put away.  Bless their hearts.  But, despite the craptastic pictures...you love me anyway.  Right?

Side Note:  I came downstairs to see if I could get a better picture for this post to find this....

Really????  Sure, Son, go ahead...take over the family room...which will now be referred to henceforth...as McQuiston's Music Room.

One more look...(still craptastic lighting, but a fantastic shot of the stairs!)

This project is simple & easy idea for old clipboards.  And, it looks so stinkin' cool.
