It's what I wore Wednesday...this outfit was my ode to Halloween. One of my fave thrift finds is that awesome black & white skirt. It's sassy...I dig that.
Ahhh, my love for the poncho. So cozy. So forgiving of figure flaws....I mean, if you needed such a thing. (note sarcasm) And, I was so very happy that so many of you answered on IG that you still used hot rollers too! Seriously, one of my best time saving beauty tips ever.
My "Dress of Many Colors"...I feel like Joseph when I wear it. Thank God, I'm an only child. (that's biblical humor..in case you missed it....if you did, pick up a bible...read the story of Joseph...cause that was funny.)
Got some new arm candy. I feel like a gypsy girl & you can bet I'm gonna wear them as often as I wear my Silver thrifted jeans & new Candies booties.
And, there they are....my new booties. So darling. And, so uncomfortable. Those of you who know me....know I wear heels are the time. These are the most UN-freaking-comfortable shoes ever. Well, not ever. But, close. I keep wearing them because:
1. I love them.
2. I keep thinking "I'll break them in".
I'll let ya know. I'm not holding out hope.
And, I was thrilled to learn that I'm not the only "one looper" out there. It's my thing...I like it.
The Gunny and I celebrated our wedding anniversary this past week. He spoiled me with my favorite perfume, Estee Lauder's Beautiful, and the "NOT free anymore gift with purchase." I love it. He knows me. He also knows I would NEVER buy this for myself.
I picked up this darling sweater at the Salvation Army Thrift Store for $3.99. It is so cozy. And, perfect for the cool Fall weather. Oh, and look at that...my Silver jeans & Candies booties. I may never have to do another "What I Wore Wednesday" post if this keeps up.
Do you find that the cold weather puts you in a clothes rut? I do. I'm definitely in a rut. I'd probably sleep in my Silver jeans if The Gunny didn't object. He would.
I picked up this Old Navy long sleeve swingy T (like my professional fashion speak??) at the thrift store for $0.99! Seriously. Paired it with....guess what??? Yeah, "those" jeans. Threw on my turquoise necklace with my orange cord blazer at the last minute & BAM! it actually looked like I planned this outfit. Added my gypsy jewelry...and, off to church we went.
Last but not least, another thrift store find. I found the shirt at Savers last Christmas. I paired it with my Michael Kors velvet jeans & my booties. Again, the bangles.
I think you can see a trend (no, not my Silver jeans). I do thrift a lot of my clothes. I enjoy the hunt & the thrill of finding something I really like for a bargain price. I like the fact that I can wear it for a short while, give it away to a friend (are you reading, Heather??? I feel another closet purge coming on!), and shop again & not feel guilty. It's not for everyone, but it sure makes for a bigger wardrobe & let's you experiment with styles you might not normally try at full price.
So, there you have it....What I Wore Wednesday. I'm leaving World Peace to someone else.
