Sometimes after your 17 year old really ticks you off in the drive thru & you end up just driving thru (I didn't even get around to ordering...so don't worry), it is GREAT therapy & beat the heck outta some Oreos for La La Balls. (or as some boring peeps call them....Oreo Truffles. Really? I could say La La Balls all day just to see the look on people's faces.)
And, then it's always good to whip up some Goo Goo Clusters. Because gifting La La Balls & GooGoo Clusters is just fun.
For those of you NOT familiar with this Southern delicacy, a Goo Goo Cluster is simply melted chocolate, peanuts & marshmallows. But, if you really want to take it to the next level, after you have them formed on your pan...sprinkle a wee bit of Sea Salt. That's what I'm talking about....
Wanna take your La La Balls to the next level as well???
Then head to Trader Joe's right now & pick up their Candy Cane "Oreos". Moosh those up with your cream cheese & dip that bad boy in chocolate. Then sprinkle some crushed candy canes on top so you can tell the difference from the "original" La La Balls.
Goo Goo Clusters & La La Balls ready for their packaging...
What is the world is one to do with the left over dipping chocolate? Well, dip marshmallow, of course, for some INSANE hot chocolate!
Above are peppermint marshmallows dipped in chocolate & paired with Arctic White hot chocolate. Below, just the regular marshmallows paired with hot chocolate.
I have to tell you....Land O Lakes is my F.A.V.O.R.I.T.E. hot chocolate ever! They have an amazing sampler pack at our Sam's Club that I get a couple of every year for the holiday season. This year my favorite is Warm Oatmeal Cookie...oh my!
Time to wrap the La La Balls up for those awesome teachers! I got my boxes, bags & ribbons at The Hobbying & The Lobbying (The Gunny's way of saying Hobby Lobby).
It was a busy evening...teacher treats & office treats all ready to go!
Doesn't my couch look so fetching with the throw over it so my dogs don't get their goober everywhere! Grr...worst mistake ever letting them get on the couches. Anyone have any tricks of how to break them of it?
The little paper bags hold the cocoa & marshmallows....I gave those to ALL the office staff at the high school.
A couple of candy dishes for some awesome administrators.
I heart cello bags. Seriously. They make everything look like a million!
Last but not least, snowman mugs for my co-workers two little ones. I found them at the thrift store (I got my cute candy dishes above at the thrift store too!) & loaded them up with hot chocolate, dipped marshmallows & a candy cane. I'm almost sad to see them go.
Now, peeps...these were easy, inexpensive gifts! All it takes is a couple hours of your time.
Now, go Treat Yo' Teachers! (Merry Christmas style)
